Job Type: Temporary.
Pay Range: $40 to $50 hourly.
The role of the Instrumentation Technician is to Install instrumentation, test equipment, sensors, and related components on prototype vehicles in accordance with engineering specifications, standards, and test procedures. Perform full-vehicle tear-down and assembly, low- and high-voltage wiring, fabrication or modification of components and fixtures, test driving, troubleshooting, detailed documentation, and close coordination with the Garage Manager and lead technicians.
Requirements:- 7+ years of professional automotive technician experience
- Experience with electric and hybrid vehicles (required)
- Full-vehicle tear-down and assembly experience
- Experience using strain gauges, thermocouples, string potentiometers, displacement gauges, accelerometers, and force transducers
- Experience with data acquisition systems, including ETAS, eDAQ, Michigan Scientific, Kistler, Peak, and Vector
- Experience with low-voltage and high-voltage vehicle wiring systems
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong communication skills
- Strong technical and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex vehicle systems
