Job Description

Director Launch Strategy

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director Launch Strategy based in the United States.

This is a high-impact, enterprise-level role responsible for defining and scaling how product and solution launches are planned, executed, and optimized across a global go-to-market organization. You will build the operating system that ensures every launch is structured, predictable, and aligned across Product, Marketing, Engineering, Sales, and Customer-facing teams. Acting as a central orchestrator, you will bring rigor, governance, and repeatable frameworks to complex cross-functional launches in a fast-paced SaaS environment. The role blends strategic program leadership with hands-on operational execution, requiring both systems thinking and strong stakeholder influence. You will play a critical part in improving launch readiness, accelerating execution speed, and ensuring consistent messaging and enablement across the field. This position is ideal for a senior operator who thrives in ambiguity, builds scalable processes from the ground up, and drives measurable business impact through operational excellence.

Accountabilities:
  • Design and own a scalable launch operating system, including governance models, playbooks, and standardized processes that improve readiness, execution speed, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Define and implement launch frameworks such as tiers, readiness gates, milestones, and decision checkpoints to ensure consistent execution quality.
  • Lead end-to-end program management for product and solution launches, coordinating dependencies across Marketing, Product, Engineering, Sales, Operations, and Customer Support.
  • Build and maintain reusable launch assets, including templates, checklists, communication plans, readiness trackers, and executive reporting tools.
  • Establish intake, prioritization, and ownership models that clarify scope, DRIs, and timelines early in the process to reduce friction and rework.
  • Drive stakeholder alignment through structured operating rhythms, launch forums, and a single source of truth for status, risks, and decisions.
  • Define and track launch success metrics, publish scorecards, and lead post-launch retrospectives to continuously improve execution quality and efficiency.
Requirements:
  • 15+ years of experience in Marketing Operations, GTM strategy, Product Marketing Operations, or related fields within SaaS or cloud-based environments.
  • Strong background in program management with proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives at scale.
  • Experience building or transforming launch or GTM operating models, ideally from early stage or unstructured environments.
  • Deep understanding of product marketing, go-to-market execution, and enterprise software lifecycle management.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business goals into structured execution plans.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing executive-level audiences in matrixed organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change management and operational transformation across large, distributed teams.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools and technology to improve efficiency, automation, and execution quality is required.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation aligned with experience, expertise, and market benchmarks.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance from day one.
  • Unlimited paid time off and paid holidays to support work-life balance.
  • Strong parental leave policies supporting all family structures.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions.
  • Mental health support, wellness programs, and employee assistance resources.
  • Flexible work arrangements and hybrid/remote-friendly culture.
  • Learning and development opportunities through mentoring, training platforms, and global knowledge-sharing programs.
  • Additional family, legal, and financial support benefits depending on location.
