We have an opportunity for an experienced and people focused Manufacturing Supervisor for our 3rd shift operations. This position will be directly responsible for establishing and maintaining a team-centric workplace that is safe focused on People, Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. The role requires total oversight of team member engagement, safety, quality, production schedule attainment, and operational effectiveness (efficiency, scrap, and downtime). These positions will supervise approximately 8 Team Leads and 25 Direct Labor Teammates.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision of production team members, with a focus on optimizing resources including manpower, methods, materials, and machinery to achieve daily production schedules and meet customer delivery requirements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments including Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain to proactively address operational and quality concerns while ensuring production efficiency.
  • Ensure all production processes consistently meet company quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements through effective monitoring and process adherence.
  • Administer and uphold company goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and operational expectations while maintaining accountability across the shift.
  • Train, coach, and develop team members on quality standards, operating procedures, safety expectations, and best practices to support performance and continuous improvement.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by utilizing data, feedback, and problem-solving techniques to identify opportunities for increased efficiency, waste reduction, and improved product quality.
  • Ensure a safe work environment by enforcing proper PPE usage, adhering to company safety policies, and maintaining compliance with OSHA standards and regulations.
  • Monitor and verify the completion and accuracy of mold changes, first-piece approvals, last shots, production reporting, process verifications, training documentation, and operator work instructions.
  • Maintain overall housekeeping standards, both interior and exterior, by supporting and enforcing 5S practices to ensure a safe, clean, and organized work environment free of hazards.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives through active participation, implementation, and reinforcement of continuous improvement and operational excellence practices.
  • Drive employee engagement, accountability, and performance while fostering a positive, team-oriented culture on third shift.
Requirements: Skills
  1. Leadership: Ability to manage and motivate a team, resolve conflicts, and provide constructive feedback.
  2. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members, other departments, and management.
  3. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues, analyze problems, and implement effective solutions.
  4. Technical Proficiency: Understanding of manufacturing processes, machinery, and quality control systems.
  5. Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and handle logistical challenges.
  6. Attention to Detail: Ensuring that production meets quality standards and adheres to safety regulations.
Experience
  1. Relevant Experience: 3-5 years in a manufacturing supervisory role.
  2. Knowledge of Production Processes: Experience with production techniques, machinery, and workflow optimization.
Knowledge:
  1. Safety Regulations: Knowledge of OSHA or other relevant safety standards and practices.
  2. Quality Control: Familiarity with quality assurance processes and standards.
  3. Lean Manufacturing: Understanding of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies can be beneficial.
