Location: Dogtopia of Dallas - Inwood / Farmers Branch, Texas

Reports To: General Manager

Position Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

The Parent Relationship Manager (PRM) is the face of Dogtopia and the primary relationship owner for our pet parents. This role drives sales, customer retention, and overall client satisfaction while also leading and managing the Front Desk Team to ensure every guest experience reflects Dogtopia’s brand standards and culture.

The PRM combines sales leadership, customer service excellence, and front desk operational management to deliver an exceptional experience for both pet parents and team members.

Position Summary

The Parent Relationship Manager is responsible for:

  • Driving lead conversion and revenue growth
  • Building lasting relationships with pet parents
  • Managing customer retention and visit frequency
  • Overseeing the front desk team, including scheduling, coaching, and accountability
  • Ensuring consistent execution of Dogtopia’s customer experience standards
  • Supporting community outreach and brand-building initiatives
  • Managing social channels and platforms

Front Desk Team Leadership Responsibilities

The PRM serves as the direct supervisor of the Front Desk Team and is responsible for:

  • Hiring, onboarding, and training front desk team members
  • Creating and managing front desk schedules
  • Monitoring attendance, punctuality, and performance
  • Coaching team members on sales, customer service, and Dogtopia standards
  • Conducting regular one-on-one meetings and written performance reviews
  • Providing recognition and corrective feedback as needed
  • Ensuring proper handling of customer check-in, check-out, and reservations
  • Maintaining adequate staffing and arranging coverage for call-outs
  • Leading by example and fostering a positive, team-oriented culture
  • Holding the front desk team accountable for lead response times and conversion goals

Sales & Business Development Responsibilities

  • Convert inbound calls and online leads into Meet & Greets
  • Conduct follow-up calls and emails with prospective clients
  • Conduct facility tours and Meet & Greets
  • Participate in neighborhood marketing and brand events
  • Maintain accurate lead and customer records
  • Promote daycare enrollments, packages, and additional services
  • Assist with pricing and promotional initiatives
  • Manage social channels and platforms

Customer Service Responsibilities

  • Practice the 3 S’s: Smile, Story, Satisfaction
  • Deliver exceptional service to every pet parent
  • Resolve customer questions, concerns, and complaints with urgency and care
  • Respond to web inquiries within one business day
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of services and pricing
  • Assist with customer check-in, check-out, and appointment scheduling
  • Complete and review new client registration forms for accuracy
  • Continuously improve tour and sales scripts
  • Drive and maintain high online review ratings

Operational Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily staffing and front desk coverage
  • Ensure registration forms and records are complete
  • Support compliance with Dogtopia operating standards
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area
  • Coordinate with the Canine Coach and Grooming teams as needed

Qualifications

  • Must love dogs
  • 2+ years of sales and customer service experience preferred
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable using CRM and scheduling software

  • Ability to work around dogs of all breeds and sizes
