Job Summary: Lead and oversee residential programming to create a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for students. This role is responsible for supervising residential staff, ensuring student needs are met, promoting personal growth and leadership development, and maintaining high standards of student care and residential operations.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Position directly supervises the Social Development Specialists and Residential Counselors – where applicable.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support Social Development Specialists and residential staff.
- Foster a positive residential culture that promotes student success, accountability, and leadership.
- Ensure student needs are addressed promptly and professionally.
- Oversee residential programming, activities, and social skills development.
- Maintain safe, clean, and orderly living environments.
- Manage departmental reports, budgets, audits, and compliance requirements.
- Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate staff performance.
- Respond appropriately to student emergencies, crises, and support needs.
- Conduct staff meetings, training sessions, and student file reviews.

Ideal Candidate:
A strong leader with excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills who is passionate about mentoring staff and helping students succeed.
Minimum: High School Diploma or High School Equivalency. Two years’ work-related experience.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Social Services, Counseling, or related field. Supervisory experience
Knowledge: Ability to effectively communicate with and relate to disadvantaged youths. Must be able to obtain a state driver’s license. Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/FA certification. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to inspire and motivate staff.
