Job Summary / Objectives

The Mechanical Engineer supports the design of custom RF microwave components and subsystems by advancing departmental knowledge of and use of global best practice design guidelines by working individually and with the other members of the Engineering Design team that deliver the technical specifications required by our customers.

What Your Weeks Will Look Like:

You will:

· Design and update the mechanical package for new and existing products (Solidworks)

· Generate in-house and customer/ vendor use tooling and fixtures.

· Investigate problems with mechanical attributes of designs to meet specifications and suggest and implement solutions

· Performing CAD analysis for the design through FEA simulations. (Solidworks)

· Generate drawings derived from SolidWorks for outside vendors and in house assembly.

· Static and dynamic analysis of stack tolerances

· Experience with passive Microwave device packaging and electrical concepts.

· Participate in continuous improvement activities.

· Participate in high priority engineering recovery efforts during production.

Other Aspects of the Position:

· Able to work with AutoCAD for legacy drawings, as needed

· Participate in the weekly Design Engineering project status meetings to help the team achieve the best design solutions for customer requirements

Requirements

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

· Must be a US Person

· BSME or equivalent experience

· Familiarity with Passive Microwave hardware function and packaging techniques

· 2-5 years post graduate working experience in an engineering group.

· Strong CAD skills, Solidworks modeling and analysis, ACAD
