Job Description
JOB SUMMARY: The Grant and Development Coordinator supports the organization’s funding and advancement efforts by managing grant administration, donor systems, fundraising initiatives, and community engagement activities. This role ensures that grant reporting, donor communications, and development operations are accurate, timely, and compliant with organizational, state, and federal requirements. The coordinator also assists with grant writing, fundraising campaigns, and marketing communications to support organizational growth and sustainability.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Grant Administration
- Assist and maintain grant documentation, tracking systems, and reporting timelines.
- Prepare and support submission of grant applications, proposals, and reports.
- Track grant deliverables, deadlines, compliance requirements, and renewals.
- Maintain accurate, organized, and audit-ready grant files.
- Research and identify new funding opportunities aligned with organizational goals.
- Build and maintain relationships with funding partners and grantors.
- Ensure compliance with grant requirements, HRSA guidelines, and organizational policies.
Fundraising & Development
- Maintain donor management insuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Track donor contributions, pledges, and engagement activities.
- Coordinate fundraising campaigns and initiatives from planning through execution.
- Monitor campaign performance and track deliverables and timelines.
- Assist in developing sponsorship packages and fundraising materials.
- Prepare donor communications, including thank-you letters, appeal letters, and acknowledgements.
Events & In-Kind Donations
- Assist in fundraising and community events, including logistics.
- Track event budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
- Assist with sponsorship outreach and partner engagement as needed.
- Support facilitation of in-kind donations and supply drives.
- Support post-event reporting and donor follow-up.
- Assist in seasonal initiatives such as Foot Washing event and holiday toy distribution programs.
- Support implementation of programs including Adopt-A-Family, Adopt-A-Teacher and other community-based efforts.
Marketing & Communications
- Assist in developing and managing email campaigns for fundraising and donor engagement.
- Coordinate communication materials related to campaigns, events, and donor outreach.
- Support content creation for newsletters, appeals, and promotional materials.
- Ensure consistent messaging and branding across development and marketing efforts.
Other Duties:

- Always maintains a courteous and professional demeanor.
- Always maintains the confidentiality of Hope Christian Health Center finances and patient-related information.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Complies with HIPAA regulations and protects patient information.
- The Grant and Development Coordinator ensures compliance with all 19 Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Health Center Program Requirements.
- Actively participates in quality improvement initiatives and supports team efforts to enhance patient-centered care.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, business administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Occasional standing, walking, lifting, reaching, kneeling, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds. Frequent sitting. Manual dexterity. Good reading eyesight and vision for close work. Ability to communicate by speaking and hearing in person or on the phone. Ability to travel to various locations.
