Located in Big Sky, Montana, Lone Mountain Ranch is a historic guest ranch situated on 148 acres in the heart of the Greater Yellowstone ecosystem. About the Role
The Transportation Driver at Lone Mountain Ranch plays an important role in creating a welcoming and seamless guest experience from the moment guests arrive in Big Sky. This position is responsible for safely transporting guests both on and off the Ranch while providing thoughtful hospitality, local knowledge, and personalized service along the way.
Drivers work closely with the Front Desk, Concierge, and other guest-facing departments to help ensure smooth daily operations across the property. This role is ideal for someone who is professional, dependable, adaptable, and enjoys interacting with people while working in a fast-paced outdoor hospitality environment.
What You’ll Do- Safely transport guests to and from the Ranch, local destinations, and nearby airports
- Assist guests with luggage and provide a warm, professional arrival and departure experience
- Share helpful information about the Ranch, local attractions, and surrounding area
- Maintain clean, organized, and well-maintained vehicles inside and out
- Complete routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns as needed
- Adapt to changing schedules, guest requests, and transportation needs throughout the day
- Follow all traffic laws and safety procedures, especially during winter driving conditions
- Support other Ranch departments as needed, including general Outpost upkeep and snow removal assistance
- Maintain clear communication with team members and leadership regarding guest transportation needs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license required; CDL preferred
- Clean driving record with strong safety awareness
- Previous experience driving in snow, ice, and varying weather conditions preferred
- Strong hospitality and guest service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Comfortable driving for extended periods of time
- Able to remain flexible and composed in a fast-paced environment with changing schedules
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable lifting luggage and other items up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally
- Familiarity with the Big Sky area and surrounding attractions preferred
- Willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
