This is a high-impact engineering role focused on delivering end-to-end client implementations for complex healthcare technology solutions. You will work across backend services, frontend applications, and event-driven systems to build and configure production-grade software for enterprise customers. The role sits at the intersection of engineering, product, and client success, requiring strong technical depth and customer-facing communication skills. You will be responsible for designing scalable integrations and ensuring smooth deployments in a multi-tenant environment. Your work will directly influence how healthcare organizations adopt and operate mission-critical platforms. This is a remote-first position with occasional travel for onboarding and collaboration.
- Lead end-to-end client implementation efforts, including technical design, system configuration, development, testing, deployment, and post-launch support for enterprise healthcare customers operating in complex, multi-tenant environments.
- Design and build scalable full-stack solutions across backend services, frontend applications, data layers, and event-driven architectures while ensuring reliability, performance, and maintainability in production systems.
- Partner closely with product, engineering, and client stakeholders to translate business and clinical requirements into technical solutions, ensuring alignment across all phases of implementation.
- Own integration work with external systems and APIs, including data ingestion, workflow orchestration, and messaging systems, ensuring seamless interoperability and secure data exchange.
- Identify and resolve technical risks such as performance bottlenecks, data inconsistencies, and system reliability issues, driving improvements through proactive engineering practices.
- Support deployment readiness activities including testing strategies, monitoring, rollback planning, and operational handoff to ensure smooth production releases for client environments.
- Contribute to engineering excellence by participating in design reviews, mentoring peers, and improving development standards, documentation, and implementation playbooks.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with ownership of production systems and increasing technical responsibility across full-stack environments.
- Strong backend development expertise in Java or similar object-oriented languages, with experience designing and operating scalable production services.
- Hands-on experience building modern web applications using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript in production environments.
- Solid experience working with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Proven ability to lead and deliver large-scale engineering initiatives, breaking down complex work into milestones and driving execution to completion.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and system integrations using APIs, messaging systems, or streaming platforms in distributed environments.
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices including version control, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and production monitoring.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering, product, design, and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Nice to have: experience in healthcare or life sciences, familiarity with FHIR/HL7, cloud platforms (AWS), and containerized or multi-tenant systems.
- Fully remote-first role with occasional travel for onboarding and team collaboration.
- Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
- 401(k) retirement plan with company match, plus flexible spending and health savings accounts.
- Flexible time off policy along with company-paid holidays.
- Paid parental leave and additional family support benefits.
- Access to modern engineering tools and a collaborative, mission-driven work environment.
- Competitive compensation package including base salary, bonus potential, and equity opportunities (salary range typically $128,000–$145,000 annually, depending on experience and location).
