PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Procurement Manager is responsible for procurement and sourcing activities supporting the development and construction of utility-scale solar fields. This role develops procurement strategies, manages supplier relationships, negotiates pricing, monitors market conditions, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs while maintaining quality and delivery performance. The Procurement Manager works closely with Engineering, Construction, Project Management, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to ensure procurement activities align with organizational goals, project schedules, and budget requirements for large-scale solar field installations.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Director of Supply Chain Services
PAY RANGE: $75,000–$90,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies that support company growth and project objectives
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvement
- Monitor market trends, tariffs, commodity pricing, and supply chain risks to proactively manage procurement activities
- Maintain and evaluate strong relationships with strategic vendors and partners
- Manage procurement and delivery schedules to support project milestones and deliverables
- Resolve supplier issues involving pricing, delivery and quality
- Support material forecasting and long-lead equipment planning
- Ensure project materials and delivered on schedule and within budget
- Procure materials, tools, and consumable items required to support active construction projects and field operations
- Respond to urgent field material requests and coordinate expedited procurement when necessary
- Coordinate logistics and transportation of materials to site via third party transport and GenPro employees
- Maintain strong relationships with local vendors and suppliers to support rapid procurement needs
- Provide direct leadership, guidance and performance management located at remote locations
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement throughout warehouse operations
- Travel periodically to remote warehouse locations to conduct site reviews, training, coaching, and operational assessments
- Monitor inventory accuracy, receiving, fulfilling, and material movement to ensure operational efficiency
- Coordinate staffing plans, scheduling, and performance evaluation for remote warehouse personnel
- Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Field Leads to identify material needs and delivery requirements and logistics tasks.

EDUCATION/LICENSES:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
- Valid Driver's License with good driving record required.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of procurement, purchasing, supply chain experience.
- 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage time across multiple priorities.
- Willingness and ability to travel for short-duration assignments as needed.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
Skills & Competencies
- Experience in procurement, logistics, or construction support preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Basic understanding of construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Strong communication and teamwork mindset.
Special Travel Requirements
- Travel required: approximately 30% or as project needs arise.
- Must be passport eligible.
