  • Interpret aerospace engineering drawings, 3D CAD models, specifications, and GD&T requirements.

  • Develop efficient machining strategies for complex aerospace components manufactured from aluminum, titanium, Inconel, stainless steel, and other aerospace-grade materials.

  • Generate setup sheets, tooling documentation, work instructions, and manufacturing process documentation.

  • Support machine setup, program prove-outs, first article inspections, and production launches.

  • Perform machining simulations and collision detection prior to production release.

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and quality requirements.

  • Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and programming issues to improve productivity, quality, and throughput.

  • Optimize cycle times, tool life, machine utilization, and overall manufacturing efficiency.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process capability, waste reduction, and cost savings.

  • Maintain revision-controlled CNC programs and manufacturing documentation.

  • Support compliance with AS9100 standards, customer specifications, and company quality procedures.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of CNC programming experience in a precision manufacturing environment.

  • Strong proficiency with Siemens NX (Unigraphics) CAM software.

  • Proven ability to develop CNC programs from scratch.

  • Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes, tooling, cutting strategies, and aerospace materials.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles.

  • Experience supporting production and shop-floor machining operations.

Preferred

  • 5-axis CNC programming experience.

  • Aerospace, defense, medical device, or other high-precision manufacturing experience.

  • Experience with Mastercam, AutoCAD, or additional CAD/CAM software platforms.

  • Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience.

  • ERP/MRP system experience.

If you're ready to solve complex manufacturing challenges and help produce the precision components that power aerospace, defense, and space exploration, we want to hear from you.
