Responsibilities

This is fully remote position. Candidates located in NJ, NY, DE, and PA strongly preferred.

The Senior Provider Network Contracting Specialist is responsible for developing, negotiating, implementing, and maintaining provider contracts that support the organization's network strategy, cost management goals, and member access requirements.

The Senior Provider Network Contracting Specialist manages complex contract negotiations, analyzes financial and utilization data, supports network expansion initiatives, and provides guidance to junior team members. This position requires strong negotiation skills, healthcare industry knowledge, and the ability to balance provider relationships with organizational objectives.

  • Lead negotiations for complex provider agreements, amendments, and renewals with hospitals, physician groups, ancillary providers, and other healthcare entities.
  • Implement established reimbursement methodologies and contract terms aligned with organizational goals and market conditions.
  • Evaluate and negotiate rates, and payment structures,
  • Ensure contracts comply with organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and operational capabilities.
  • Maintain positive provider relationships throughout the contracting process.
  • Support network expansion, adequacy, and optimization strategies.
  • Assist with provider terminations, transitions, and network restructuring efforts.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's dregree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience negotiating contracts with hospitals, physician organizations, ancillary providers, and other healthcare entities.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex negotiations and provider relationships.
  • Experience analyzing financial and healthcare utilization data.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement methodologies and provider contracting practices.
  • Knowledge of managed care, WC, auto, and commercial health plan operations.
  • Excellent negotiation, relationship management.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities.
  • Ability to interpret and apply contract language.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The expected base pay for this position ranges from $70,000 - $105,000 annually, and will be based on a number of additional factors including skills, experience, and education.
