Qwaltec is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead technical and management operations supporting satellite command and tracking ground station operations for a Department of War customer. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of ground station command and control systems compatibility, resource allocation, infrastructure, systems security, and contract performance management, serving as the primary interface between Qwaltec, our team, and the government customer.
This is a leadership position with real ownership. You will formulate and enforce work standards, supervise contractor personnel, and support proposal and business development initiatives that shape the future of the program and of Qwaltec. This position is fully on-site in the Maryland / Washington DC Metro area.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee technical and management operations, including ground station command and control systems compatibility, resource allocation, infrastructure, and systems security
• Manage contract performance and participate in customer briefings and meetings
• Formulate and enforce work standards, assign schedules, review work discrepancies, and supervise contractor personnel
• Support ground station proposal plans, specifications, financial terms, and business development initiatives
• Conduct business briefings and presentations for government and industry stakeholders
• Collaborate with Qwaltec leadership to align program execution with company capabilities and growth objectives
Requirements:• Bachelor's degree in engineering, a science discipline, economics, business management, or related field
• 5 years of relevant experience
• Background in ground station maintenance and operations, infrastructure, and networks
• Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to conduct business briefings and presentations
• Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance required
• Ability to work fully on-site in the Maryland / Washington DC Metro area
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience managing Department of War or other federal contracts as a program or deputy program manager
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary technical teams in a 24/7 mission operations environment
• PMP or equivalent program management certification
