Location: Hillsboro, OR

Position Summary

StenTech is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our team in our Hillsboro, OR facility. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our products meet customer specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a keen eye for detail, and enjoys hands-on work inspecting precision metal components.

And Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect incoming, in-process, first article (first part buyoff), finished, and outgoing metal parts to verify compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and production requirements.
  • Perform incoming inspections of supplier materials and final inspections of finished products before shipment.
  • Review inspection paperwork, work orders, and supporting documentation for accuracy, completeness, and final approval.
  • Identify, document, and communicate defects, discrepancies, and non-conforming materials.
  • Use precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, optical comparators, Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), and other inspection tools to verify dimensions and product quality.
  • Complete First Article Inspections (FAIs), including AS9102 documentation, and accurately maintain electronic inspection records.
  • Read and interpret customer blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection requirements.
  • Visually inspect products for defects, damage, workmanship issues, and dimensional inconsistencies while handling precision metal components with care.
  • Monitor product quality throughout production and recommend improvements to quality processes when appropriate.
  • Assist with assembly or other production-related duties as needed.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining efficiency and attention to detail in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous quality control, inspection, manufacturing, or related experience preferred.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, optical comparators, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, customer specifications, and inspection requirements.
  • Knowledge of CNC machining processes or experience inspecting machined components preferred.
  • Experience performing incoming, in-process, and final inspections, including First Article Inspections (FAIs) and AS9102 documentation, preferred.
  • Ability to create or modify CMM programs is highly preferred.
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to accurately enter inspection data and maintain electronic quality records.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects, non-conformances, and dimensional discrepancies.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Reliable, dependable, and committed to producing high-quality work.
