Our Registered Echocardiography Technologists work collaboratively to capture high-quality cardiac imaging essential for diagnosing complex cardiovascular conditions. Utilizing state-of-the-art ultrasound technology, our dedicated professionals measure heart function, assess blood flow, and provide physicians with critical clinical data. We view our registered sonographers as a vital component of the care team, directly influencing patient treatment plans and outcomes through technical excellence and compassion. As a Registered Echocardiograph Tech, a typical day might include the following:

  • Preparing the cardiology suite by managing supplies, verifying physician orders, and reviewing patient schedules.
  • Creating a comforting patient experience by clearly explaining ultrasound procedures and offering ambulatory assistance.
  • Positioning patients, applying medical gels and electrodes, and adjusting equipment to optimize wave signals.
  • Producing exceptional cardiac images by precisely manipulating transducers, adjusting beam focus, and filtering out artifacts.
  • Recording intricate measurements of heart walls, chamber sizes, and blood flow velocity to compare against clinical norms.
  • Completing administrative protocols by printing graphics, archiving examination records, and safeguarding patient data.
  • Collaborating with the lab team by performing EKGs, mounting Holter monitors, and assisting with stress testing as needed.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Active certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS, or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) status.
  • Proven ability to independently operate complex cardiac ultrasound and imaging software.
  • Strong baseline of interpersonal, technical, and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with physicians.
