Position Summary

Legacy Risk Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Benefits Account Service Manager to join our growing team. This role provides administrative and service support to the Benefits team by assisting with client requests, enrollment and eligibility activities, carrier communications, and day-to-day account maintenance while ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently.

What You’ll Do

· Provide exceptional service by responding to client and participant inquiries via phone and email.

· Support Benefits Account Managers with the day-to-day servicing and administration of client accounts.

· Assist with enrollment, eligibility, and coverage changes, including new enrollments, terminations, and qualifying life events.

· Process enrollment and eligibility changes through carrier websites and applicable benefits administration platforms.

· Assist clients and participants with benefit questions, ID cards, enrollment status, billing inquiries, claims questions, and other general service needs.

· Research and help resolve enrollment, eligibility, billing, and claims-related issues by coordinating with carriers, Account Managers, and clients.

· Maintain accurate client, participant, and plan information within the agency management system and applicable carrier or benefits administration platforms.

· Review benefit documents, enrollment materials, carrier communications, and account information for accuracy and completeness.

· Assist with preparing renewal materials, benefit summaries, enrollment materials, presentations, and other client-facing documents.

· Support new client implementation and renewal activities by gathering documentation, tracking outstanding items, and coordinating with Account Managers and carrier partners.

· Assist with obtaining applications, forms, plan documents, and other required information from clients and carriers.

· Coordinate the distribution of benefit materials, ID cards, plan documents, and other client or participant deliverables.

· Maintain accurate activity notes, follow-up items, and workflow documentation within the agency management system.

· Process incoming and outgoing communications and maintain complete and organized electronic client files.

· Utilize Applied Epic, Microsoft Office, carrier portals, benefits administration platforms, and other agency technology to support efficient daily operations.

· Prepare and maintain reports and spreadsheets to support account management and team operations.

· Escalate complex coverage, claims, billing, eligibility, or compliance-related matters to the appropriate Account Manager or team member.

· Collaborate with Account Managers, Producers, carrier partners, and internal teams to ensure client needs are addressed accurately and timely.

· Participate in carrier training, continuing education, and internal team meetings to build knowledge of benefits products, systems, and processes.

· Identify opportunities to improve workflows, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver an exceptional client experience.

· Provide additional team support and assist with special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

What We’re Looking For

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Life & Health Insurance License preferred or the ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.

· Previous insurance, benefits, customer service, or administrative experience preferred.

· Employee Benefits or health insurance experience is a plus.

· Familiarity with medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and other employee benefit products preferred.

· Experience with Applied Epic or a similar agency management system preferred.

· Experience with carrier portals or benefits administration platforms is a plus.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Microsoft 365.

· Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer-service mindset.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong problem-solving and research skills with the ability to follow issues through to resolution.

· Ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate complex client or coverage matters.

· Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to collaboration, continuous improvement, and exceptional client service.

· Self-motivated with an ownership mentality and a desire to learn, grow, and contribute to the success of the Benefits team.
