BEE ACCESS-PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead our production team at Bee Access. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing floor, guiding a team of welders, fabricators, assembly technicians, and production support associates in producing safe, high-quality suspended access equipment. This is a hands-on leadership position that requires a strong manufacturing background, a commitment to safety, and the ability to drive performance while developing the people around you.

WHAT THE ROLE DOES:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities across welding/fabrication, permanent equipment support, product assembly, and production support functions
  • Set daily and weekly production priorities, assign work, and ensure output targets are met on time and to quality standards
  • Monitor workflow across assembly lines and fabrication areas, identifying and resolving bottlenecks proactively
  • Conduct regular floor walks to observe work quality, reinforce safety protocols, and provide real-time coaching and feedback and report findings to Plant Manager
  • Onboard, train, and develop team members; conduct performance evaluations and address performance issues with professionalism and consistency
  • Enforce all workplace safety standards and ensure team compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies
  • Partner with Quality Control to ensure products meet design intent and pass all required non-destructive and load testing
  • Collaborate with Engineers on process improvements, drawing updates, cost reduction initiatives, and new product development
  • Oversee inventory organization, material staging, and warehouse housekeeping standards across production areas
  • Apply Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies to reduce waste and improve efficiency
  • Maintain accurate production records, communicate status updates to management, and escalate issues as appropriate

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in related field a plus
  • 3-5 years of supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing environment required
  • Background in metal fabrication, welding, or suspended access/construction equipment strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing, root cause analysis, or continuous improvement
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
  • Forklift certified or able to obtain certification; working knowledge of safe material handling practices
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and hold a team accountable in a fast-paced production environment
  • Capable of handling and lifting 50lbs. without assistance
