You will handle a significant volume of returns while maintaining precision in calculations, documentation, and reporting. This is a senior-level role designed for professionals who are confident navigating complex tax scenarios and delivering reliable, audit-ready work.

Accountabilities:
  • Prepare and review high volumes of individual (Form 1040) and business tax returns (Forms 1120, 1065) with accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage end-to-end tax preparation processes, including workpapers, trial balances, and book-to-tax adjustments.
  • Handle multi-state and SALT filings, including apportionment and jurisdictional compliance requirements.
  • Process and properly account for K-1s, flow-through entities, and partnership tax structures.
  • Support tax preparation for clients across industries such as real estate, retail, technology, hospitality, and professional services.
  • Apply tax software tools such as UltraTax CS and QuickBooks Online to complete and reconcile filings.
  • Ensure timely completion of assignments while maintaining high standards of accuracy and documentation.
  • Assist with resolving tax notices and client correspondence with tax authorities when needed.
  • Apply tax knowledge to complex scenarios including rental activities, depreciation, and entity-level adjustments.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 4+ years of direct, hands-on tax preparation experience in individual and business taxation.
  • Proven track record of preparing at least 300+ individual (1040) returns and 150+ business returns (1120/1065).
  • Strong expertise in federal and multi-state tax preparation, including complex filings and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with workpapers, trial balances, and book-to-tax reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in tax software such as UltraTax CS and accounting tools like QuickBooks Online (QBO).
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage high-volume workloads under strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with confidence handling complex tax situations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a deadline-driven mindset.
  • Nice-to-have experience with cost segregation, depreciation strategies, stock-based compensation, and 1031 exchanges.
Benefits:
  • Fully remote, full-time position with flexibility within U.S. work requirements.
  • Opportunity to work on complex, high-volume tax cases across diverse industries.
  • Exposure to both individual and business tax structures at a senior professional level.
  • Competitive compensation aligned with experience and expertise.
  • Collaboration with U.S.-based clients across multiple sectors including real estate, technology, and hospitality.
  • Stable, long-term direct hire opportunity.
  • Professional autonomy with minimal supervision in a results-driven environment.
