Job Description

Senior Developer - Dev Acceleration Team

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Developer - Dev Acceleration Team based in Canada.

This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of software development productivity within a fast-growing SaaS environment.
You will build tools, platforms, and AI-powered systems that enable hundreds of developers to work faster and more effectively.
The position focuses on creating scalable developer experiences, improving engineering workflows, and reducing friction across the organization.
You will work at the intersection of software engineering, AI innovation, platform development, and developer enablement.
Your contributions will directly influence how teams build, test, deploy, and collaborate across a distributed engineering organization.
This is an ideal opportunity for an engineer passionate about AI-assisted development, systems thinking, and creating solutions that multiply team impact.

Accountabilities:

As a Senior Developer within the Developer Acceleration team, you will be responsible for building and scaling internal platforms, tools, and AI-powered capabilities that improve engineering efficiency. You will collaborate closely with developers, product teams, and technical stakeholders to identify challenges, design solutions, and drive adoption of new workflows.

  • Build tools, shared infrastructure, and AI-powered systems that help developers deliver software faster and with greater confidence.
  • Develop agentic AI capabilities, including developer workflows, context systems, plugins, skills, and environments that allow AI agents to contribute safely and effectively.
  • Create scalable platforms and solutions that support the broader engineering organization rather than individual teams.
  • Analyze developer workflows to identify productivity challenges such as CI bottlenecks, review delays, and inefficient processes, then create solutions that address root causes.
  • Increase adoption of AI-assisted development practices by enabling developers to use agents effectively throughout the software lifecycle.
  • Design systems that improve developer experience, reliability, observability, and engineering efficiency.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to understand needs, test solutions, and continuously improve internal tools.
  • Communicate technical decisions, risks, learnings, and progress clearly across a distributed organization.
  • Contribute to documentation, enablement, and knowledge-sharing initiatives that help teams adopt new technologies and practices.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced software engineer with strong technical judgment, a passion for developer productivity, and hands-on experience applying AI tools to real-world software development. You should be comfortable building production-grade systems, working across complex codebases, and helping teams adopt new approaches.

  • Deep experience designing and building systems, platforms, or tools that other developers rely on.
  • Hands-on daily experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar agentic development technologies.
  • Proven ability to leverage AI agents across the software development lifecycle, including writing specifications, implementing multi-file changes, and reviewing generated code.
  • Strong background building production-quality software within large, complex, and long-lived codebases.
  • Experience understanding developer workflows and creating solutions that improve engineering velocity and user experience.
  • Strong programming skills, particularly with TypeScript and modern software development practices.
  • Experience working with Ruby on Rails environments is beneficial but not required.
  • Knowledge of prompt engineering, context engineering, AI evaluations, agent safety practices, or autonomous system guardrails is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with observability, quality engineering, and measuring system performance is highly valued.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and business teams.
  • Strong curiosity, ownership mindset, adaptability, and willingness to experiment and continuously learn.
Benefits:
  • Competitive annual salary range of $128,000 to $200,000 CAD, with compensation aligned to experience, skills, and career growth.
  • Clear compensation philosophy focused on rewarding impact, development, and progression.
  • Comprehensive benefits package supporting employee wellbeing and professional growth.
  • Remote-first work environment with flexibility across Canada.
  • Opportunities to work on innovative AI-powered engineering initiatives with organization-wide impact.
  • Supportive culture focused on learning, collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Career development opportunities through regular growth conversations and ongoing support.
  • The opportunity to contribute to technology that supports thousands of businesses and professionals worldwide.
