The Software Engineer III will design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications while contributing to technical decisions and improving engineering practices. This role requires ownership, collaboration, and a strong focus on delivering reliable solutions that create customer value.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web-based applications using modern full-stack technologies.
- Build and enhance product features that support payroll and accounting workflows for business users.
- Collaborate with engineers, product partners, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture conversations to improve system quality and maintainability.
- Write clean, well-tested, documented code following engineering best practices.
- Contribute to improving development processes, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, monitoring, and deployment practices.
- Support production systems by troubleshooting issues and participating in on-call rotations when required.
- Help improve application performance, scalability, reliability, and overall user experience.
- Communicate progress, technical challenges, risks, and solutions clearly with stakeholders.
- Continuously learn new technologies and share knowledge with the engineering team.
- Adapt quickly to evolving requirements while maintaining a strong focus on customer outcomes.
The ideal candidate is an experienced full-stack software engineer with strong technical skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to build reliable applications in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4–7 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, preferably Vue.js.
- Proficiency in .NET Core, C#, and Entity Framework.
- Experience working with databases, particularly PostgreSQL, and building transactional systems.
- Understanding of microservice architectures and cloud infrastructure, such as AWS.
- Strong knowledge of software development principles focused on performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Experience contributing to API integrations and event-driven architecture is a plus.
- Familiarity with financial technology or other regulated industries is beneficial.
- Experience working with large-scale or high-transaction systems is preferred.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage priorities, collaborate effectively, and continuously improve engineering practices.
