Reports To: Vice President of Marketing
Direct Reports: Marketing Operations & Branch Engagement Specialist, Creative Marketing Specialist, Sales Development Representative (SDR)

Position Summary
The Director of Marketing & Vendor Programs is responsible for driving measurable business growth through AlarMax's vendor marketing strategy, demand generation initiatives, marketing programs, and event execution. This leader serves as the primary executive relationship owner for manufacturer marketing partners while leading a high-performing team responsible for delivering marketing programs that generate qualified leads, strengthen vendor relationships, and accelerate revenue growth.
Working cross-functionally with Sales, Supplier Operations, Branch Leadership, and the eCommerce & Digital Marketing Manager, this role transforms vendor investments, marketing development funds (MDF), campaigns, and events into measurable business results. The Director develops scalable marketing strategies, builds annual vendor growth plans, manages key performance metrics, and ensures marketing remains a strategic contributor to the company's continued growth.
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable developing strategy, building executive relationships, analyzing performance data, and leading day-to-day execution through a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
Growth Marketing Strategy
- Develop and execute annual growth marketing strategies aligned with companyobjectivesand regional sales priorities.
- Create integrated marketing campaigns that drive customer acquisition, lead generation, customer engagement, and revenue growth.
- Build annual marketing calendars aligned with strategic vendors, product launches, seasonal promotions, branch initiatives, and company priorities.
- Establish marketing KPIs and executive dashboards to measure campaign effectiveness, pipeline contribution, ROI, and overall business impact.
- Continuously evaluate market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity toidentifyopportunities for growth.
- Recommend and implementnew marketinginitiatives that improve business performance and strengthenAlarMax'scompetitive position.
Vendor Programs & Strategic Partnerships
- Serve as the primary relationship manager forAlarMax'smanufacturer marketing partners.
- Develop annual joint business and marketing plans with strategic vendors that align mutual growthobjectives.
- Maximizeutilizationand return on Marketing Development Funds (MDF) through strategic planning, execution, and performance measurement.
- Identifyand launch new co-marketing programs, promotional campaigns, training initiatives, incentive programs, and revenue-generating opportunities.
- Partner closely with Supplier Operations and Sales Leadership to align vendor marketing initiatives with inventory priorities, product launches, andsales objectives.
- Monitor vendor program performance and continuously improve participation, effectiveness, and revenue contribution.
Demand Generation & Sales Enablement
- Develop and execute lead generation programs that create qualified sales opportunities for branch sales teams.
- Lead customer acquisition, customer reactivation, and targeted account development campaigns.
- Provide strategic leadership to the Sales Development Representative (SDR),establishingcampaign priorities, performance expectations, and lead generationobjectives.
- Collaborate with branch leadership and sales teams to ensuretimelylead follow-up and campaign success.
- Develop marketing initiatives that increase customer engagement and strengthen long-term customer relationships.
- Evaluate campaign performance using data and analytics tooptimizefuture initiatives.
- Support strategic sales initiatives through targeted campaigns, promotions, and customer outreach programs.
Event Strategy & Customer Engagement
- Develop and overseeAlarMax'sannual event strategy supporting branch growth, customer engagement, vendor partnerships, and brand visibility.
- Provide strategic leadership for branch events, customer appreciation events, product showcases, grand openings, training events, association events, trade shows, and corporate meetings.
- Ensureevery event has clearly defined businessobjectives, measurable outcomes, and post-event performance evaluation.
- Partner with direct reports to ensure seamless planning,logistics, branding, vendor coordination, and execution.
- Establish event performance metrics including attendance, qualified leads, sales opportunities, customer engagement, vendor participation, and return on investment.
- Identifynew event opportunities that strengthen customer relationships and support company growth initiatives.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, coach, and develop a high-performing marketing team focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Establish departmental goals, performance expectations, and individual development plans for direct reports.
- Prioritize departmental initiatives andallocateresources to maximize business impact.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and career development discussions.
- Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, operational excellence, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Build scalable marketing processes that improve efficiency whilemaintainingexceptional execution quality.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with the eCommerce & Digital Marketing Manager to align digital marketing initiatives with vendor marketing programs and demand generation strategies while providing strategic direction for shared priorities.
- Collaborate with Sales Leadership, Supplier Operations, Branch Managers, Executive Leadership, and other departments to ensure marketing initiatives support overall businessobjectives.
- Serve as the marketing representative for strategic cross-functional initiatives.
- Ensure consistent execution ofAlarMax'sbrand standards and marketing strategies across all branches and marketing channels.
- Support organizational initiatives that strengthen customer experience, employee engagement, and long-term business growth.
Performance, Budget & Business Analytics
- Manage departmental budgets and marketing investments to maximize businessreturn.
- Develop executive dashboards that measure campaign performance, lead generation, pipeline influence, event ROI, MDFutilization, vendor participation, and overall marketing effectiveness.
- Present marketing performance, business insights, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
- Use data-driven decision making to prioritize marketing investments and future initiatives.
- Continuously improve marketing systems, reporting, workflows, and operational processes to increase efficiency and scalability.
- Ensure compliance with vendor program requirements, company policies, and cooperative marketing guidelines.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
- Experienceleading and developing high-performing teams.
- Experience managing Marketing Development Funds (MDF), cooperative marketing programs, vendor partnerships, or channel marketing initiatives strongly preferred.
- Experience working within distribution, manufacturing, wholesale, or technology industries is highly desirable.
