Job Title: Accounting Clerk
About Micro Precision:

We are currently looking for a part-time Accounting Clerk to join our team. Micro Precision is a precision manufacturing machine shop supporting national defense and homeland security customers for over 40 years. Job Summary:
The Accounting Clerk works closely with the Controller and Finance and Human Resources teams in performing general accounting tasks for the day to day operations in the office.
About the Role:
Duties include answering phone calls and emails in regard to invoices and transactions, accounts payable transactions, accounts receivable transactions, credit card reconciliation, and occasional administrative errands on an as needed basis, and any accounting related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- US Citizenship is required per DoD requirements
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that supplier invoices are processed in a timely manner.
- Ensure that customer invoices and customer payments are processed promptly.
- Contact customers for past due payments.
- Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed.
- Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
- Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions.
Skills:
Physical & Mental:
General: Position requires ability to concentrate on details with occasional interruption and attend to tasks for 45 to 60 minutes at a time. Ability to understand theories behind related concepts and to remember multiple tasks given to self and others over periods of time; ability to prioritize given shifting priorities; ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form.
Environmental & Working Conditions:
Industrial shop setting. Dust, dirt, metal debris from manufacturing will be encountered. Moderate levels of noise will be encountered.
