Job Description
Qualifications:
· 5 years in management or leadership role with responsibilities with a minimum of 5 or more direct reports.
· 7 years’ experience working in quality control and inspection in manufacturing environment.
· Experience with ISO and AS 9100 and NADCAP specifications and requirements.
· Ability to do FAIR’s, and SPC studies.
· Understands GD&T and the blueprint map, as it relates to product verification activities.
· Ability to read and understand drawings and customer standards and requirements
· Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Duties & Expectations:
· Plans and organizes daily activities related to production and operation scheduling all quality and inspection OPS.
· Organizes and oversees the schedules and works of assigned staff.
· Conducts required training and appropriate documentation. Leads, trains and coaches’ team, new hires and employees from other department to applicable standards and work instructions.
· Coordinates with other departments to ensure successful production operations.
· Reviews product in-process on the floor to meet productivity and efficiency goals.
· Performs in process and final inspection as needed.
· Lead corrective and preventative actions.
· Reporting out of tolerance conditions, assist with the investigation activities and communication to the shop floor.
· Provide regular feedback on metrics to management and employees, as applicable.
· Analyze trends and detail areas in need of improvement and/or preventive measures.
· Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
· Oversees the continuous improvement of processes.
· Aware of quality policies, procedures, objectives, contribution to conformance of product, safety and ethics.
