ATS FLEET SERVICE – GRAND RAPIDS is growing and looking for an individual who wants to come to work each day and make a positive impact on their team and the clients they serve. The Assistant Manager role requires strong leadership, exceptional professionalism, and hands-on technical knowledge of heavy-duty trucks and equipment. As a key leader within the shop, the Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting daily operations by overseeing shop workflow, assisting with team leadership, coordinating work between customers and technicians, and helping ensure repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This position also serves as a primary point of contact for customers by assisting with service writing duties, including creating repair orders, preparing estimates, communicating repair recommendations and progress updates, and delivering outstanding customer experience from check-in through vehicle delivery. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills, a service-oriented leadership style, and the ability to foster a positive shop culture while helping achieve the location's sales, service, and operational goals.
