Job Summary:

The Angstor Operator is responsible for welding, Taping, block testing, inspecting, and processing capacitor parts according to work instructions and quality standards. This position requires excellent attention to detail, the ability to identify defects, and a commitment to producing quality products while maintaining production goals. The Angstor Operator plays a key role in ensuring parts meet specifications before advancing to the next stage of production.

Expected Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Operate 10 mm, 15 mm and 7.5 mm welding equipment according to work instructions and specifications.
  • Set up and operate block testers (zeroing, recalls, bridge settings)
  • Identifying acceptable and unacceptable welds
  • Run tapers for 15mm, 10mm and 7.5 mm parts
  • Perform visual inspections to identify defects or quality concerns.
  • Verify capacitance (Cap) and dissipation factor (DF) values meet specifications.
  • Operate angstor printer to make tape for parts
  • Inspect weld quality and identify defective parts.
  • Monitor equipment performance and get adjustments made as needed.
  • Complete production paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
  • Maintain proper material flow to prevent production delays.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and operating safely.
  • Meet daily production goals while maintaining accuracy and quality.
  • Assist in other production areas as needed.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read and write English and ability to follow work instructions and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform precise, repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to use a microscope
  • Ability to identify defective parts and quality concerns.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to operate production equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Ability to maintain focus and consistency in a production environment.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
  • Ability to follow written work instructions and specifications.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Must meet the “US Person” requirement.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time throughout the workday.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), gloves, and safety glasses.
  • Ability to frequently use hands and fingers to handle, weld, tape, inspect, and process small components.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 35 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, reach, twist, and stretch throughout the workday.
  • Ability to maintain visual focus on small parts and identify minor defects or inconsistencies.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with possible exposure to heat, dust, powder coating materials, moderate noise levels and varying temperatures.
  • Ability to safely operate production equipment while maintaining quality and production standards.

Salary includes a competitive hourly rate plus bonus potential. The expected base pay range for this position is $18.00 to $19.00 per hour, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and alignment with internal compensation practices. This range represents the company’s good-faith estimate of the compensation for this position at the time of posting. Actual pay will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, internal equity, and business needs.

This is a non-exempt position and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable federal and Virginia law.
