Overview

Lynker Corporation is seeking to hire a qualified candidate to support a contract with NOAA Research Office of Ocean Exploration and Research (OER). These are full-time positions that may be performed on-site or remotely, with anticipated travel in support of meetings, workshops, and field activities. Hiring for these positions will be contingent on contract award. Lynker will be operating under its Propel joint venture, a NOAA ProTech Oceans 2.0 prime contract holder.
This Contract is Contingent on Contract Award.

The contractor shall provide technical and administrative services for the planning, coordination, and execution of field season operations and regulatory compliance.



Responsibilities

Duties of the Operations Technician will include the following:

  • Field Season Planning and Compliance: Coordinating, organizing, and managing the OER field season timeline of events to coordinate the completion of required permits and consultations; documenting projects and expeditions to ensure adherence to compliance requirements (Essential Fish Habitats, MMPA, ESA, etc).
  • Operational Models and Procedures: Developing and refining operations models and procedures for OER field operations and the NOAA Ship Okeanos Explorer specifically relating to compliance, permitting processes, analyses and action assessments.
  • Environmental Compliance and Portfolio Expansion: Coordinating with internal and external partners to plan explorations and expand the program portfolio regarding environmental compliance; providing technical inputs for programmatic documentation (i.e. consultation packages) and refining related procedures and processes.
  • Expedition Program and Planning Services: Executing technical services for the planning, coordination, and implementation of expeditions and projects, including documenting and implementing field operations models and procedures.
  • Project Goal Alignment: Organizing field activities to ensure project-specific science, education, outreach, and data management goals are met, and policies and procedures complete.
  • Field Season Documentation and Equipment Management: Coordinating and developing field season documentation; organizing and managing equipment utilized for the documentation of projects and expeditions.
