Hourly Pay range: $19 - $23 depending on experience

Job Class: Full Time 40hrs/week over 5 days, 8:30am-4:30pm, Monday – Friday

Work Location: Oval A and Richmond Central

Position Summary:

The Medical Office Assistant is a qualified individual charged with the responsibility of clinical and administrative duties under the supervision of a physician and direction of the physician and/or Clinic Manager to assist in patient care and administration. The successful MOA will work approx. 3 days a week at Oval A and 2 days a week at Richmond Central, but will be a flexible schedule based on the needs of the 2 clinics.

What you will be doing:

  • Put patients in Exam Rooms to keep doctors on time
  • Cleaning in between patients,
  • Checking supplies each day,
  • Prepping for procedures such as PAPs, Suture Removal, Baby and Adult Shots, Biopsy, Testing Supplies.
  • Urine testing & recording results in chart.
  • Preparing Shots for use, recording.
  • Working on Tasks requested by the Drs (Ticklers),
  • Filing faxes, emailing patients, submitting forms,
  • Promoting Well’s Digital Tools (Online Booking, Self Check In, etc)
  • Accepting payment for Private Pay billings,
  • Assisting Drs as they work,
  • Chaperoning PAPs, taking HT & WT, taking blood pressure or glucose readings,
  • Submitting referrals.
  • You have:

    • Previous experience as an MOA is preferred
    • Ability to work well in a team environment
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Computer proficiency – Microsoft Office Suite
    • EMR proficiency is an asset
    • Organized, accurate and efficient
    • Ability to problem-solve
    • Good sense of character and judgement
    • English (fluent)
    • Medical Office Assistant certificate or 2+ years of office experience
