Rachel Contracting is seeking qualified applicants for an Estimator/Project Manager – Commercial Earthwork. Rachel Contracting is a specialty site-work contractor performing earthwork, demolition and utilities primarily in the Midwest/Central US region. Responsibilities and Tasks:

1. Assist Project Manager and Superintendent on various earthwork and general civil construction projects.
2. Track actual production quantities and costs and report them to the Project Manager.
3. Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.
4. Manage subcontract schedules and monitor quality of work.
5. Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, recommending actions.
6. Support with several project management duties for earthwork, demolition and general civil construction projects.

Position Qualification Preferences:

1. Related construction experience and currently enrolled or working towards a college degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
2. Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
3. Ability to be a team leader under challenging conditions
4. Demonstrate positive outlook
5. Dependability: showing initiative and good follow through
6. Solid organizational skills with strong attention to detail
7. Self-starter with the ability to effectively prioritize
8. Travel will be required for this position
