Position Title: Individual Employment Service Specialist
Location: Goodwill Industries of Northeast Iowa, Inc.
Your Role in Our Mission
As an Individual Employment Service Specialist, you will help people build skills for work and everyday life. You’ll assist individuals obtain and maintain employment—including people with disabilities—and help them move toward independence and success.
This is more than a job—it’s a chance to inspire others, solve problems, and create opportunities that change lives.
What You’ll Do
• Develop individual specialized employment plans for participants
• Connect with employers to learn about business needs
• Work on a team with mental health and substance abuse providers to help individuals grow
• Coach and encourage individuals so they can grow and succeed
• Oversee programs that help people find and maintain employment
• Review program progress and find better ways to serve people
• Work with employers to create more opportunities for participants

What You Need
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services (or 2 years of similar experience may be substituted for each year of education)
• At least 2 years of related experience in providing employment services
• Strong communication and people skills
• Confidence in making decisions and solving problems
• A positive attitude that motivates others
• Ability to handle private information with care
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and insurance
• Comfort using computers for daily work
