Job Description
We're growing fast, and Synovate is our next-generation Manufacturing Execution System. We need a Product Manager to help shape both the product and where the company goes from here. This isn't a maintenance role. You'll own real decisions, talk to customers regularly, and have a hand in defining how modern manufacturing operates.
If you like ambiguity, want real ownership, and care about building something useful, keep reading.
Why join us
A growing product with strong market demand
Real ownership over decisions that shape the product and customer experience
Work that sits between software and the physical world: manufacturing, operations, and data
A small, collaborative team that moves quickly
Equity upside as we scale
Overview
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to manage and optimize our cloud infrastructure, IoT device integrations, and identity/access management systems. This role is essential for ensuring secure, cost-efficient operations as we scale our manufacturing execution system (MES) platform, Synovate, to support rapid client growth.
Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain serverless components using Azure Functions for high-volume workloads
IoT & Device Integration
• Manage IoT device integration and sensor data ingestion pipelines
• Implement and maintain communication protocols (MQTT, OPC) for industrial device connectivity
• Ensure reliable data flow from edge devices to cloud infrastructure
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues and optimize data transmission performance
Identity & Access Management
• Implement and manage identity solutions using Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
• Configure and maintain endpoint management via Microsoft Intune (MDM)
• Establish and enforce governance frameworks for access control and security policies
• Manage user provisioning, authentication flows, and role-based access controls
Infrastructure & Security
• Implement secure secret management solutions (Docker Secrets, Azure Key Vault)
• Configure and maintain network security including VPN solutions and network policies
• Ensure TLS/HTTPS is enforced across all connections and services
Required Qualifications
• Cloud Platform Expertise: Hands-on experience configuring and managing Azure resources, with demonstrated cost optimization results
• Azure Cost Management: Proven experience with Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, Spot Nodes, and Azure Cost Management tools
• Identity & Governance: Experience implementing Microsoft Entra ID and endpoint management with Intune

• Serverless Architecture: Practical experience developing and monitoring Azure Functions in production environments
• Containers & Infrastructure: Proficiency with Docker and container orchestration platforms
• Security Fundamentals: Understanding of secret management, TLS/HTTPS, and network security principles
• On-Prem Infrastructure architecture and deployment experience.

• Exposure to compliance frameworks (SOC2, IATF, CMMC, ISO 27001)
