Join Our Team as a full time Maintenance Technician at Richman Property Services, Inc. (RPS), in Jacksonville, FL!

Richman Property Services, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician I to join our dynamic team. Are you a community-inspired, passion-driven individual with a can-do attitude? If so, we want you on our team!

Position: Maintenance Technician I

Location: Bennett Creek, Jacksonville, FL, our 264-unit affordable residential community located in Jacksonville, FL 32216 (near Southpointe)

What we Offer our Maintenance Tech's:

  • Competitive base hourly pay of $23.00 per hour!
  • All Maintenance Tech's become eligible for automatic quarterly pay increases every quarter following initial 90-day of service.
  • Tech's receive a monthly personal cell phone allowance of $40.00 per month, and are eligible for a discretionary bonus at year-end.
  • Day time schedule's, full-time Employee benefits and programs, excellent PTO and VACA accruals and more
  • If you do not have your EPA I & II or EPA Universal, but have the right skills, experience and drive to join our Maint Team, RPS may sponsor (and pay) for your EPA within your initial 90-days of service.

Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm, one hour or 30-minute lunch, weekend rotation on Saturday and Sunday and on-call every other week

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily repair and upkeep of the property
  • Prepare vacant units for occupancy within established deadlines
  • Manage service requests and ensure timely completion
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA standards and The Clean Air Act
  • Oversee inventory and care of tools and equipment
  • Complete required tasks such as training, logs, and reports in a timely manner
  • Uphold company policies and provide exceptional customer service
  • Seek educational opportunities for personal growth and development
  • Assist in property preventative maintenance plan
  • Collaborate on maintaining curb appeal and cleanliness of buildings and grounds
  • Perform on-call duties and occasional overtime

Requirements:

  • Education:
  • High school diploma or GED; industry-related courses preferred
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of two (2) years of maintenance and general repair experience or Groundskeeper
    • Proficiency in maintenance tasks, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, etc.
    • Must own basic tools as allowed by state laws
    • Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws, including Fair Housing Laws
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently


  • Skills & Certifications:
    • EPA Section 608 Type I and II or Universal Technician license, strongly preferred
    • Valid Driver's License required
    • Proficient in English for communication and record-keeping purposes
