As a Housekeeper at The Outlook at Windhaven, you’ll play an important role in creating a safe, pleasant home for our residents, families, and team members. You’ll keep resident rooms and common areas fresh, clean, and sanitized, prepare rooms for new residents, assist with events and laundry, restock supplies, and help with special projects throughout the community. **Final compensation within the listed pay range will be based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications, and will align with our established pay scale.**

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Models a service attitude towards others, takes ownership in solving problems and takes the initiative to make things better, is friendly and courteous to residents, patients and co-workers
2. Maintain a clean, disinfected, safe, and pleasant environment for all residents, families, employees, and visitors of The Outlook at Windhaven
3. Use proper chemicals, tools, and equipment to clean assigned areas
4. Assist with set-up and clean-up of events/activities
5. Dust, clean and sanitize resident rooms, as i.e., deep cleaning and daily clean schedules)
6. Clean and sanitize public restrooms
7. Clean nurses’ station
8. Inventory supply cart and restock on a daily basis
9. Maintain clean housekeeping closet at all times
10. Report repair needs to Supervisor
11. Work with other staff on major projects
12. Work in Laundry as needed
13. Make rooms ready for admissions
14. Minor repairs (changing light bulbs, etc.) if applicable
15. Assist Laundry Techs as needed being able to work all areas
16. Pull trash as needed
17. Assist other Departments as needed
18. Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Housekeeping experience, domestic or commercial, preferred (1 year)
3. Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English.
4. Ability to follow instructions and work as a team player
5. Good communication skills
6. Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and prioritize tasks and know when to ask supervisor for assistance
7. Willingness to climb ladders and perform other duties that require heights
8. Ability to adapt to changes in procedures, as improvements are made
9. Knowledge of household tools, floor care and other related equipment
10. Ability to perform Essential Duties
11. Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and persons with disabilities
12. Ability to perform work tasks within the Physical Demand Requirements
13. Ability to comply with the Resident Bill of Rights and the Employee Responsibilities
14. Ability to comply with site and departmental safety policies and procedures

WORK CLIMATE:

1. Position will work at the assigned facility, primarily inside climate-controlled building
