KEYS FOR SUCCESS:

• Senior level experience developing in PL/SQL
• Oracle/Unix Scripting experience
• Hadoop Development, modeling & architecture experience

BACKGROUND FOR THE POSITION:

We are looking for a senior developer with Hadoop, Spark, and Scala knowledge. He/she will be will have significant Hadoop development, modeling and architecture experience. The candidate will be tasked to analyze, design, develop, test, debug, and document data solutions for client deliverables. Duties may also include reporting, ad-hoc requests, issue resolution as well as defining design and programming recommendations. Additionally, candidate must also have PL/SQL Development experience.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in data analysis, data solution design and data management; she/he will also possess excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving abilities.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field required
• Minimum 3 years of Hadoop, Spark, Scala development
• Minimum 3 years of experience using HDFS, Oozie and Parquet
• Minimum 5 years of experience writing, maintaining and developing scripts in Perl in a Unix environment
• Minimum 5 years of experience using SVN, Github or other code repository
• Minimum 3 years of experience developing PL/SQL solution in an Oracle environment
• Extensive experience efficiently utilizing very large data sets to drive customer support and solution development
• Excellent analytical and time-management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Minimum 3 years of experience presenting clear, concise data analysis to management.
• Minimum 5 years of experience interacting with both business and technical management.
• Significant experience in IT system design methodologies and project management principles.
• Significant development experience in a consume and/or VIN oriented database.
