Job description:
The University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a postdoctoral research position in the group of Professor Sergey Frolov. The group's activities include fundamental studies of quantum devices and circuits. This position will be responsible for the design, nanofabrication, characterization and measurements, and data analysis on semiconductor nanowire-superconductor quantum circuits. In addition, you will be expected to participate in grant writing, writing manuscripts for publication, presenting at conferences, ensuring compliance with safety, and assist with mentoring graduate and undergraduate students.
Position Details:
The position is funded initially for one year and housed within the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Pittsburgh working with Dr. Sergey Frolov and collaborators. The position may be extended pending funding and performance. Start date is as soon as practicable, preferably by January 1, 2027. Successful conferral of your PhD is required prior to the start of your appointment.
Required: A PhD in Physics or related disciplines
Preferred: Experience with cryogenics, microwave technology, nanolithography
