Job Description
As Head of Governance, Quality and Project Management for Bosch Building Technologies North America (BT-NA), you are responsible for establishing and maintaining an effective governance and management systems that supports customer satisfaction, profitable growth, compliance, operational performance & continuous improvement across the North American Building Technologies business. This position reports to BT/ADM and BT/QMM and regionally, to the Senior Vice President of Operations, (BT-IN/CL)
You will provide the Senior Vice President of Operations and leadership team with independent transparency that governance is effective, projects are under control, material risks are identified and mitigated, and quality issues are systematically prevented and resolved.
Responsibilities:
- Direct ownership of Quality Management, the BT-NA Management System & governance framework of PMO. Functional governance and assurance include audits, corrective actions, process compliance, management reviews and control effectiveness. Legal, Compliance, HSE, Data Privacy, Information Security, Product Security and Corporate Security remain coordination/interface responsibilities unless explicitly assigned otherwise.
- You will report according to the applicable BT organizational model and maintain strong functional interfaces with Administration BT/ADM, Project Management Office BT/PMO and Quality Management BT/QMM.
- Within BT-NA, you serve as an independent governance and quality authority with the mandate to challenge business decisions, escalate material risks and quality concerns, and require appropriate corrective actions when BT standards, customer commitments or regulatory requirements are at risk.
- You coordinate BT-NA matters within the BT Community; Administration & Governance including interfaces to the Compliance Management System (C/CMD-BT), Legal Matters (C/LSI-BT), Health, Safety and Environment (BT/HSE), Protection and Security (BT/PSO), Data Privacy, Information Security and Product Security, and ensure that applicable requirements are translated into practical and sustainable BT-NA processes and controls.
- As Head of the BT-NA PMO, you own the project and portfolio governance framework for customer projects, internal development projects, Merger & Acquisition projects and organizational development projects. This includes project classification, stage/gate standards, project health and risk transparency, executive portfolio reporting, escalation mechanisms, independent reviews of high-risk or critical projects, lessons learned and project recovery standards.
- Own the Voice of the Customer governance process, ensuring customer feedback, trends, escalations, and service & project delivery outcomes are analyzed and incorporated into quality and operational improvement initiatives.
- Coach, mentor and competence center for classic, agile and hybrid project management methods
- Execute and coordinate the BT-NA audit and assurance program, including internal and external audits
- You govern and execute internal assessments, including PMI and integration-related assessments and advise management at all levels on implementation of guidelines and assessment results
- Quality responsibility of implementation and continuous improvement of a forward-looking BT-NA quality strategy covering hardware, software, services, customer projects and lifecycle services.
- You govern quality standards that support high customer satisfaction, technological excellence and commercial performance, and establish customer-quality governance
- Own quality throughout the lifecycle of BT-NA hardware, software and services
- Execute a BT-NA quality scorecard covering relevant measures such as customer complaints, cost of poor quality, warranty/rework, project quality, audit findings, CAPA closure, supplier/partner quality, product/service nonconformities and customer satisfaction.
- Govern and coordinate a systematic BT-NA business risk management process, ensuring material operational, project, quality, compliance and organizational risks are identified
- You own the governance of quality assurance in customer projects and services
- In coordination with Procurement and Operations, you define the governance framework for supplier, subcontractor and strategic partner quality
- Govern management-system and quality integration for acquisitions, including maturity assessment, process harmonization, audit readiness, project-management standards and incorporation into the BT-NA control framework.
- You own and develop the Governance, Quality and PMO organization, including organizational design, resource planning, objectives and KPIs, talent and succession development, budget stewardship, and capability building across the broader BT-NA organization.

- Bachelors degree in engineering, business, quality, operations or a related discipline
- 1215 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in quality, governance, operations, project management or related functions, preferably in a complex technology, project and service business and an international matrix organization.
- Established project and portfolio management capabilities including Merger & Acquisition activity
- Demonstrated experience with quality management systems and ISO 9001, audit/assurance, project and portfolio governance, customer/project quality, continuous improvement and root-cause methods, executive-level risk management and organizational transformation.
- Strong consulting, organizational and change-management skills, conceptual strength, commercial judgment and sufficient understanding of IoT, software, connected products, cybersecurity/product-security interfaces and digital services to govern quality and risk effectively.
- Analytical judgment, structured goal orientation and high integrity. Your ability to distinguish systemic from isolated problems, translate corporate requirements into pragmatic business processes, challenge constructively, act independently and assertively, and influence effectively across engineering, operations, sales, project management and corporate functions.
- You are an experienced transformational leader who develops people and capabilities, builds effective cross-functional communities, communicates credibly with executive and operational audiences, and demonstrates the independence and executive presence required to escalate material risks and drive sustainable corrective action.
- Fluent English written and spoken
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional commercial, legal, quality or project-management education is an advantage.
- M&A/integration and software/digital/service quality experience are desirable
- PMP, GDPA, PRINCE2 or equivalent certifications is an asset
- Fluent German written and spoken

Additional Information:
- Compensation: $125,000 - $150,000 + $20% Annual Bonus (DOE)
- Working Hours: This position generally works Monday- Friday, overtime and on call when necessary
