Job Description
mimic robotics is a frontier physical AI company building the full stack of general-purpose dexterous manipulation. Founded in 2024 by ETH Zurich researchers, mimic pioneered Video-Action Models for robotics while also developing in-house dexterous hand hardware. Our growing team brings together world-class researchers working across our offices in Zurich and San Francisco.
- Design and develop PCBs, flexible PCBs (FPCs), and wiring harnesses for compact robotic systems.
- Engineer electrical solutions for tight integration constraints and high-cycle applications.
- Ensure electrical designs meet high standards of reliability, durability, and manufacturability.
- Support electronics certification, testing, and validation.
- Collaborate with embedded and mechanical engineers to optimize hardware integration and ensure good signal integrity.
- Drive designs from prototyping through to high-volume production.
What We're Looking For
- 2–5+ years of industry experience in electrical hardware and/or electronics design.
- Experience designing electronics for manufacturing at scale, ideally with production volumes of 10K–1M+ units.
- Strong experience designing flexible PCBs, and/or wiring harnesses.
- Ideally, hands-on experience with dynamic flex PCBs designed for repeated bending in compact products (e.g., laptops, foldable smartphones, consumer robotics).
- Hands-on experience debugging signal integrity and interference issues on wiring harnesses / flexible PCBs.
- Familiarity with electronics certification, design validation, and reliability testing.
- Strong attention to detail, structured working style, and a commitment to robust, high-quality engineering.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary engineering environment.
Why Join Us?
