Job Overview:
The primary function of the Bulk Plant Material Handler is to load and unload bulk fuels/oils, completing assigned paperwork. Compliance with all DOT, Company and Safety Policies, procedures and practices shall be always adhered to. This is a full-time, non-exempt position that reports to the site manager.
Essential Job Functions:
• Handle petroleum products
• Forklift operation
• Able to drive trucks in yard
• Packaging of petroleum products
• Container filling of petroleum products
• Loading & unloading bulk product truck loads
• Cleaning of product totes and facility
• Consolidate and rotate inventory using FIFO and help with daily, weekly and monthly inventories
• Maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions; check for correct vehicle/special loading equipment is properly positioned
• Follows company quality, safety and environmental guidelines as well as employee handbook policies
• Good interpersonal skills
• Able to handle high stress situations
• Regular and reliable attendance and presence at work
• Able to lift 60 pounds of necessary equipment; Able to push and pull 75 pounds
• Ability to handle exposure to dust, fumes and high noise levels
• Operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
• Any duties as may be assigned
Qualifications/Experience/Education:
• High school graduate or equivalent
• 2+ years of manufacturing or warehouse experience
• 2+ years of forklift operation
• Valid driver’s license
• ISO process understanding
• Pass pre-employment 7-year criminal background check
