Job Description
2Go MSO is seeking a motivated and experienced Area Manager to lead and oversee 10–15 convenience store and gas station locations. This role requires a results-oriented leader with a proven background in multi-unit retail operations. The Area Manager will be responsible for driving performance, ensuring operational excellence, and supporting the development of store managers to achieve company goals.
Requirements:Strategic Leadership
• Develop and implement action plans to drive sales growth, operational efficiency, and profitability.
• Uphold high standards of customer service, compliance, and performance.
• Analyze local market trends to inform strategic decisions and identify new opportunities.
Team Leadership & Development
• Provide coaching, guidance, and performance management to store managers.
• Set clear goals and expectations for each store; regularly evaluate progress.
• Facilitate regular training and development to promote growth and career advancement.
Operational Oversight
• Ensure stores maintain standards of cleanliness, safety, and organization.
• Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs), including sales, labor, and inventory.
• Implement consistent operational procedures across all locations.
Customer Experience
• Foster a customer-first culture across all stores.
• Review customer feedback and satisfaction metrics; address issues proactively.
• Drive initiatives to enhance service quality and brand reputation.
Financial Management
• Develop annual budgets and ensure alignment with company objectives.
• Monitor financial performance and collaborate with managers to meet targets.
• Identify and execute cost-saving and revenue-enhancing opportunities.
Training & Succession Planning
• Develop and deliver training programs to elevate operational knowledge and leadership skills.
• Identify high-potential employees and support their career growth.
• Cultivate a strong pipeline of future store leaders.
Compliance & Standards
• Ensure all stores operate within legal and corporate compliance guidelines.
• Promote adherence to 2Go MSO’s Code of Conduct and HR policies.
Standards & Expectations
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical conduct at all times.
• Ensure timely reporting, accurate data handling, and clear communication.
• Represent the company with integrity in all interactions and decisions.
Qualifications
• Preferred High school diploma or equivalent, or college degree.
• Minimum 3 years of multi-unit retail management, preferably in fuel/convenience store environments.
• Strong leadership, training, and performance management skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and POS systems; tech-savvy and data-driven.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Valid California driver’s license, clean driving record, and current insurance.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Must reside in the Orange, Long Beach, or Los Angeles area.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
• Work performed in both office and retail station settings.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 25 pounds.
• Frequent travel required within assigned region.
• Involves extended periods of standing, sitting, and use of office equipment.
• Must be able to operate a motor vehicle safely.
