Century Mile Racetrack & Casino – Edmonton, AB

What You’ll Do
- Maintain clean, safe, and well-organized stables and grounds to company standards.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on equipment safely and efficiently.
- Operate heavy equipment such as graders, tractors, forklifts, and water trucks.
- Assist with track maintenance, including harrowing, watering, and general site preparation.
- Support team members and work under Racing Department management to keep operations smooth.
- Collaborate with contractors and suppliers for repairs, materials, and track resources.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns or emergencies and coordinate solutions.
- Perform general maintenance tasks, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and mechanical work as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures, policies, and procedures.
- Take on other duties as assigned — no day is ever the same!
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent (combination of education and experience considered).
- 2+ years of experience operating heavy equipment (grader, forklift, tractor, water truck).
- Previous maintenance, construction, or labour experience. Knowledge of the racing or horse industry is an asset.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work with limited supervision while collaborating effectively with the team.
- Valid driver’s license with a clear abstract.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Physical fitness to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying outdoor conditions.
Nice to have: certifications in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, basic first aid, and fire prevention training.
