Job Description

The Facilities Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing facility-related projects and capital improvements across the Bank's network of 14 branches located throughout Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida. This position manages new branch openings, renovations, vendor relationships, construction projects, and facility improvement initiatives while ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable regulations.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Facilities Manager partners closely with Information Technology, Retail Banking, and other business leaders to ensure all facilities support the Bank's operational, technology, and customer service needs.

This position requires regular travel throughout the Bank's footprint and the ability to respond to facility needs at any branch with short notice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead facilities readiness for new branch openings, coordinating construction, buildout, furniture, signage, and systems installation to ensure each location is fully operational by its target opening date.
  • Plan, schedule, and oversee branch renovation and remodel projects from scope through completion, minimizing disruption to daily branch operations.
  • Create and manage project budgets for new branches, renovations, and ongoing facilities work; track spend against budget and report variances.
  • Source, solicit bids, and obtain quotes from contractors, vendors, and service providers; evaluate proposals for cost, quality, and timeline.
  • Negotiate and manage vendor and contractor relationships, including scopes of work, service agreements, and performance expectations.
  • Read and interpret architectural and engineering blueprints, floor plans, and construction drawings to plan projects, evaluate contractor work, and troubleshoot issues on site.
  • Coordinate with Customer Service Managers on minor repairs including furniture installation, painting, plumbing, electrical work, fixture installation, HVAC repairs, and hardware replacement.
  • Manage exterior maintenance and appearance items, including signage installation and repair, and coordinate necessary permits and inspections with local jurisdictions.
  • Coordinate facilities-related permitting, licensing, and code-compliance requirements across all four states.
  • Partner with IT leadership on facilities-related technology needs at new and existing branches, including cabling, equipment placement, and physical security infrastructure.
  • Partner with Retail leadership to align facilities projects and branch condition with operational needs, customer experience standards, and branch timelines.
  • Travel to branch locations as needed for project oversight, vendor walkthroughs, and urgent issues, including on short notice.
  • Maintain organized documentation of contracts, warranties, permits, inspections, and project records for each branch.
  • Identify and escalate facilities-related risks (safety, code compliance, deferred maintenance) to the CFO and other stakeholders as appropriate.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Business, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 5+ years of facilities management, commercial construction, property management, or project management experience. Multi-site facilities experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing new-location buildouts or major renovations from planning through completion.
  • Strong project management, budgeting, and vendor management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and construction drawings.
  • Working knowledge plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects across a multi-state footprint.
  • Must reside in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, or Florida, with Georgia preferred, and be able to travel to any branch location within one day's notice.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the four-state footprint, as needed.
Preferred certifications
  • Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Facilities Management Professional (FMP)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • OSHA safety certification
  • Trade-specific certifications or licensure (electrical, plumbing, general contracting) a plus
