The Data Entry I performs repetitive, rules-based tasks within financial & accounting workflows with precision and consistency. This entry-level role is responsible for ensuring data accuracy, timely execution, and strict adherence to established procedures. As a core member of the new Shared Services department, the specialist supports Proper AI’s ability to scale by standardizing high-volume processes and enabling future automation.
Main Responsibilities
  • Execute high-volume, rules-based finance tasks (Accounts Payable, Bank Reconciliation, data entry).
  • Ensure accuracy (≥98%) and follow established SOPs and workflow playbooks.
  • Track and report completion, accuracy, and turnaround times.
  • Identify and escalate anomalies, errors, or exceptions.
  • Suggest and support process improvements and automation opportunities.
  • Maintain workflow documentation and support new process rollouts.
  • Collaborate with a remote, distributed team to meet deadlines and SLAs.
Required Hard skills
  • 1–2 years of experience in operations, shared services, or high-volume data entry
  • Comfortable with repetitive tasks
  • Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets for data entry and workflow tracking.
  • Ability to follow standardized processes (SOPs).
  • Experience with workflow documentation and task tracking tools.
  • Familiarity with Accounting (Accounts Payable or Bank Reconciliation) is a PLUS!
