Anesthesia Coding Specialist at Fusion Anesthesia Solutions – Brookfield, Wisconsin

Fusion Anesthesia Solutions has been dedicated to providing the highest quality medical billing, accounting, and practice management services to anesthesiologists since 1974. Located in Brookfield, Wisconsin, Fusion Anesthesia Solutions provides anesthesia and pain management billing services nationwide.

Fusion Anesthesia is currently seeking to expand its certified coding staff. Candidates should be self-motivated and possess strong written and verbal communication skills. A minimum of 3 years of anesthesia-specific coding experience is required.

Responsibilities include:

• Coding and data entry for anesthesia services using a variety of record formats
• Perform pre-billing coding audits
• Review and resolve coding-related claim payment issues
• Maintain and apply knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding conventions, medical terminology and human anatomy
• Maintain and apply knowledge of coding rules and regulations for government and commercial payers by state and region
• Communicate with providers to obtain accurate answers to coding-related queries and to obtain necessary data for coding and billing
• Collaborate with coding team members
• Interact with billing staff to resolve coding and billing issues

Skills:

• Ability to prioritize, work independently and communicate effectively
• Intrapersonal skills to interact with staff and outside contacts
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
• Familiarity with online coding applications

Required Experience:

• Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years of anesthesia specialty coding experience

Required Certifications:

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC)*
• High School Diploma or Equivalent

*Anesthesia specialty credentials (CANPC) are a plus
