Job Responsibilities

- Supervise and lead the HVAC service team in daily operations and maintenance activities.

- Schedule and coordinate service calls, ensuring timely and efficient completion of work orders.

- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex HVAC issues for commercial systems, providing expert solutions.

- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance.

- Train and mentor junior technicians, sharing expertise and promoting best practices in HVAC service.

- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols during all service operations.

- Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and maintenance activities for reporting and analysis.

- Collaborate with clients to understand their HVAC needs and provide high-quality customer service.

- Assist in the development and implementation of service improvement strategies and initiatives.

- Manage inventory of parts and tools, ensuring availability and proper use by the service team.

- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to procure necessary equipment and materials.

- Review and approve service reports, timesheets, and expense reports submitted by technicians.

- Participate in budget planning and management for the service department.

- Address and resolve customer complaints and service issues promptly and professionally.

- Stay updated on the latest HVAC technologies and industry trends to enhance service delivery.

Job Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in HVAC/R preferred.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial HVAC service and repair.

- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role.

- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and controls.

- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

- Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and codes.

- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

- Strong leadership and team management abilities.

- Effective communication and customer service skills.

- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including confined spaces and at heights.
