Overview

Position is contingent upon contract award and funding.

Sev1Tech is looking for a Infrastructure Management/Technical Lead to support a team providing enterprise IT operations support for a DHS customer.

The project is focused on infrastructure management and operations - e.g., monitoring, incident response, cybersecurity, system administration, patching, unified communications, hosting - with an emphasis on automation to:
  1. Minimize manual intervention, improve efficiency, and reduce human errors
  2. Implement platforms that orchestrate work-flowsfor end-to-end task execution
  3. Utilize AI as well as predictive analytics to detect anomalies, predict failures, and initiate self-healing processes to reduce downtime and improve system resilience


Responsibilities

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework
  • Program/Project management experience
  • 5+ years’ experience leading teams and projects for developing, maintaining, and administering complex IT systems; capturing stakeholder requirements and translating into automated solutions; and managing the full application life-cycle
  • Ability to communicate orally, and in writing, detailed technical information on troubleshooting and implementation efforts
  • Strong skills in the use of Service Management tools, such as ServiceNow or Remedy
  • Identify and champion organizational and process changes that support automated cloud provisioning; assist with the creation and maintenance of standard cloud computing policies, operating procedures, and overall documentation
  • Experience with Patch automation implementation and process improvements required
  • Experience building road-maps, evaluating technologies
  • Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality co-ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment plans and checklists
  • Work with release engineers to understand impacts of branches and code merges
  • Demonstrated ability to manage relationships and coordinate cross-functional work teams (including Infrastructure, Support, On-Call, Development, Quality Assurance, Subject Matter Experts (SME), architects, and business stakeholders) towardtask completion
  • Working knowledge of Jenkins, configuration management database (CMDB), code packaging, Jira, Salesforce, ELK, Git Hub, AWS and basic Unix command

Eligibility/Clearance Requirements: Eligibility for Entry on Duty clearance



Qualifications
  • ITIL certification
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, DevOps practices
