DUTIES

Instruct Worksafe BC Occupational First Aid Courses on a rotational basis schedule to be determined in consultation with the TRU Community Coordinator.

Travel to other areas to instruct courses.

Maintain and clean first aid classrooms, equipment, and supplies.

QUALIFICATIONS

Thompson Rivers University 100 Mile House Regional Centre is seeking application for the right candidate to instruct first aid courses.

High School Diploma

A background in the medical field (first aid, paramedic, EMR or similar) is required.

Coverage for the cost to became a Certified Occupational First Aid Instructor can be provided to the right candidate.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to create a comfortable environment.

Culturally sensitive and ability to build relationships and foster partnerships with local Indigenous communities.

Comfortable in using technology for course delivery.

Ability to travel out of town on short notice.

Ability to work independently.
