About This Position
The Hospital Donation Coordinator (HDC) is responsible for the development and maintenance of relationships with hospital and physician teams, the coordination and execution of educational activities and the maintenance of the strategic plan for donation development. The HDC will also assess available clinical data found in the medical records and/or through bedside assessment to determine initial medical suitability for donation.
Working Hours: Full time. 8:00am – 4:30pm Monday through Friday; Must be flexible with occasional evening and night hours, dictated by workload and donor cases, are required; Requires one weekend per month (weekend defined as a Friday, Saturday and Sunday). Location: Methodist University and LeBonheur hospital in Memphis, TN. Salary range: $62k/yr -$75k/yr.; based on education and experience.
Qualifications: Critical Care RN or Paramedic, Registered Respiratory Therapist or degree/licensure in medical or related field; Previous experience in donation industry with clinical experience may substitute for this qualification. Must have a minimum of 2 years clinical or hospital experience.
