About This Position
This position is hybrid, (both on-site and remote) in Oregon. Pay ranges from $27.00 – $34.50 per hour.
OCCU is hiring a Leave and Benefits Coordinator to manage leave and benefits programs for team members. This role handles employee leave and accommodation requests per applicable laws and supports the Human Resources team.
As a Leave and Benefits Coordinator, you are responsible for helping to manage health and retirement benefits, including assisting with enrollments, updates, and terminations. You help organize annual enrollment, oversee leave of absence and ADA requests, support workers’ compensation programs, and maintain communication with vendors. Your duties will include answering employee questions, tracking leave requests in line with legal requirements, ensuring ACA compliance, processing HR billing, balancing ledger accounts, and supporting policy updates to meet regulatory standards.
Candidates need a minimum of two years of related experience and at least one year handling leave administration (preferred). An associate degree or specialized business/trade school course is required; HR certifications (such as PHR) are preferred. A willingness to earn and keep relevant certifications or training is necessary.
