JOB RELATIONSHIPS

• Responsible to the Director of Nursing Practice Excellence.

DEFINITION OF POSITION

• Key responsibilities for patient safety and care include wound management and documentation, collaborations with providers and outpatient services, collaboration with department directors to reinforce behavior expectations for error prevention, and following best practice standards. Proactively managing the process of identifying, assessing, and correcting high-risk issues, processes and practices; managing the program for real time monitoring of safety behaviors and medical record documentation related to quality and patient safety initiatives. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards of care related to patient safety with the objective of reducing events and preventing harm to patients or staff. Work focuses on interactions with staff in collaboration with patients and families.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Professional

  • Current License to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.

  • Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification.
