SUMMARY

The primary purpose of Sales Account Managers is to manage day-to-day relationships with existing customers. In being the primary point of contact, you are expected to effectively communicate ongoing customer needs to the management staff and manufacturing groups and provide customers with positive support to meet their needs. Additionally, you are expected to pursue additional opportunities with both existing customers and new potential customers to meet UGA sales goals. UGA sales account managers also work with the V.P. of sales to establish effective marketing campaigns to continue to grow our business.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitor customer satisfaction to help ensure the company meets our customers’ expectations

  • Interact with customers to build relationships and act as their bridge to the organization.
  • Manage the transition of new work as it develops into repeat business.
  • Addressing customer complaints and resolving in a timely and effective manner.
  • Travel is needed to develop and maintain long-term relationships.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.


KEY SKILLS

Knowledge and use of work processors, spreadsheets, databases, and computer-based materials management tools.

The ability to identify and resolve customer issues and challenges is essential.

Collaborating with internal teams, such as customer service, manufacturing and management, to meet sales goal needs and support the customer.

Proven sales experience and the ability to develop sales strategies.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulation. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Basic mathematical skills required.
