Software Engineer (Fullstack) at S44, LLC – Montvale, New Jersey

Who You Are: We are looking for a Fullstack Software Engineer to design and develop various web applications for our products. You will work collaboratively with a team of software developers, UI/UX designers and product owners to analyze user requirements and drive the implementation and release of features and updates. You are excited to drive success of the product by creating the best user experiences powered by clean, readable, and maintainable code.  What you Bring to the Team:

• Experience with frontend and backend programming languages and frameworks such as JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, Java, Python, SpringBoot and NodeJS.

• Experience in object-oriented design and common design patterns.

• Experience in building distributed software systems.

• Working knowledge of software design and architecture, such as microservices.

• Experience in AWS, GCP, or other Cloud providers.

• Experience working with SQL and NO-SQL Databases.

• General understanding of algorithms and data structure.

• Ability to build & deliver high quality software in an agile environment.

• Ability to use critical thinking and sound judgement.

• Ability to troubleshoot production issues across multiple environments and Operating Systems.

• Passion for building and delivering impactful products.

• Great communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.

• At least 3-5 years of work experience in a fullstack engineering role.

Bonus Skills:

• Experience using infrastructure-as-code frameworks like Terraform

• Ability to build and maintain event-driven architectures and big data pipelines

• Experience with machine learning and natural language processing and generation.

Within Your First Month, You’ll:

• Learn about S44, our business model, and the product or service offerings you will manage.

• Meet with Product Owners, stakeholders, and internal team members to start building rapport.

• Attend team meetings and ceremonies.

• Ramp up on our technology stack through peer-led training sessions.

• Begin to write internal documentation for your work so teams are looped in on the latest updates.

• Complete and deploy your first assigned projects/tasks.

• Contribute ideas, ask questions, and raise concerns when encountering challenges.

Within Your First 3 Months, You’ll:

• Feel comfortable navigating our tech stack and continuously work with your team members to help fill in any gaps of understanding.

• Work collaboratively with your manager to identify areas for personal growth and create a plan to improve.

• Own major areas of an application or product that you have been assigned.

• Proactively provide and implement recommendations to improve the quality and stability of our applications.

• Contribute to S44 Automotive’s continuous improvement initiative by bringing fresh ideas and the energy to bring our team to the next level.
